March Wellness Webinar - Next Week

March 11, 2019

Monthly, the NCRPA Wellness Initiative conducts a wellness webinar. Wellness webinars are a great way to inform you about innovative wellness programs, policies, or infrastructure ideas that your department may want to consider implementing. This wellness blog will preview our March wellness webinar, which focuses on North Carolina CDC Arthritis Grant.

For this month's webinar, we have Jeanne Dairaghi and Ellen Garrison from the Healthy Aging North Carolina Initiative

Healthy Aging NC is an initiative of the North Carolina Center for Health & Wellness (NCCHW) and serves as a statewide resource center for evidence-based health programs. The initiative connects people to programs and agencies that improve community health, & increases the capacity of providers to offer healthy aging programs.

We are excited to have Jeanne and Ellen join our March Wellness webinar to give more details about Healthy Aging North Carolina, and share information about the North Carolina CDC Arthritis Grant!

NCCHW received a five-year CDC grant to address the impact of the chronic disease of Arthritis and increase awareness about Arthritis management in North Carolina. This grant focuses on raising awareness about Arthritis, increasing access to walking and chronic pain programs, and encouraging physical activity.

To learn more about this exciting opportunity and ways that the grant can work with parks and recreation, please register for our March wellness webinar on March 18th at 1:00 pm.

Until next time,

Diquan
